The Pilates Method focuses on both your body movement and mind to create core stability, postural alignment and mental wellbeing. Our pilates equipment classes & pilates reformer classes help to build flexibility, muscle strength and endurance in the legs, abdominals, arms, hips and back. Pilates emphasises spinal and pelvic alignment, breathing, developing a strong core or centre and improving coordination and balance. We offer both pilates studio equipment classes and pilates mat classes.
The Gyrotonic Method is aimed at encouraging range of body movement. It has its roots in Yoga, Tai Chi and dance, with the exercise sequences being composed of spiraling, circular movements. The system uses pulleys, weights and rotational discs to encourage circular movement of the joints. Gyrotonic is great for increasing the functional and rotational capacity of the spine, and is particularly efficient with other rotational joints such as the shoulder, knee and wrist.
The CoreAlign Method is unique in that the exercises emphasise an upright position and are designed to improve posture, balance and functional movement. CoreAlign was developed to enable natural flowing full body exercise with independent limb training.
